New York City Mayor Eric Adams warns that Gotham is being “pushed to the brink” by the ongoing crisis at the southern border.  The Democrat traveled to El Paso, Texas, over the weekend, to observe, first hand, the surge of migrants flooding into the country, tens of thousands of whom intend to continue their journey on to the Big Apple.  Officials estimate that, in the two years since the White House assigned Vice President Kamala Harris the unwelcome task of uprooting the “root causes” of illegal immigration, an estimated four million migrants have welcomed themselves to America’s shores.  Border Patrol intercepted an astronomical 2.4 million illegal crossers in fiscal year 2022, alone.  When asked, in December, how the vacuous veep is tackling her border duties, a baffled White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre replied, “I don’t have anything to lay out, specifically, on what that work looks like.”

Adams, however, does have plenty to lay out, specifically, at the feet of the Biden Administration.  The mayor laments that the beneficence of his northern sanctuary is at its “breaking point.”  The chaos at the border is a “national crisis” which demands Washington action.  Earlier this month, Adams, along with Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, pleaded with fellow Democrat, Colorado Governor Jared Polis to stop packing the migrant buses and passing the buck.  The buck should rightly stop in Washington.
